Our Mission
The Utah Eagle Forum is committed to upholding and advancing conservative values throughout our state. As a chapter of the National Eagle Forum, we focus on strengthening Utah families, preserving parental rights, advocating for constitutional governance, and promoting policies that reflect our shared belief in life, liberty, and personal responsibility.
Our mission is to educate and empower Utahns to engage in the legislative process, influence public policy, and protect our communities from government overreach. Together, we are working to ensure Utah remains a place where family, faith, and freedom thrive.
“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Learn about Phyllis Schlafly, Founder of Eagle Forum
Phyllis Schlafly was a towering figure in American conservatism and the founder of Eagle Forum, the nation’s leading pro-family grassroots organization. She first rose to national prominence with her groundbreaking 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo, which galvanized the conservative movement and challenged the political establishment. In 1972, she launched Eagle Forum, rallying thousands of women across the country to defend family values and oppose the radical feminist agenda. Her leadership in the decade-long battle against the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) helped defeat what was then the top legislative priority of the feminist movement. A fearless debater and prolific writer, Phyllis became one of the most recognized and respected voices in American politics—earning her a place among the “100 Most Important Women of the 20th Century” by Ladies’ Home Journal.
Over her lifetime, Phyllis authored or edited 27 books, published a nationally syndicated column, and produced a monthly newsletter that ran for 50 years. A trained lawyer, she testified before Congress more than 50 times and was appointed by President Ronald Reagan to the Commission on the Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution. Despite her national influence, she remained devoted to her role as a wife and mother of six. Phyllis Schlafly championed the dignity of homemakers, the sanctity of life, and the foundational principles of the U.S. Constitution—leaving behind a movement, an organization, and a legacy that continue to shape America today.
